Safety Training- Sales Rep

MALIN - A Raymond Company Dallas, Texas, United States

 

Malin provides warehouse and material handling safety training to customers in Texas and Louisiana. This Safety Training Sales Representative will prospect our current customer base and create new customer relationships, explaining our training offerings for their employees to meet the need of the customers’ safety goals. The Safety Sales Representative will work closely with Malin’s Training department to recognize opportunities for training services across the 2-state territory. Safety training offerings consist of courses such as: forklift driving, forklift maintenance, MEWP, TPS, and more.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Identify potential customers and prospects in assigned territory.

* Analyze and evaluate all existing accounts for customer loyalty and growth potential, develop and implement sales growth plan.

* Familiarize each prospect and existing customer with the full range of Malin's Training offerings.

* Work closely with equipment sales representatives as new equipment sales opportunities are identified.

* Keep customer database current and complete at all times.

* Conduct market research on an on-going basis and provide manager with timely, competitive information.

 

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Stays knowledgeable within industry, market and business updates and changes.

* Provide regular and ad hoc reports to management as required.

* Develop and maintain good customer relations on a continuous basis.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

* Three or more years of experience in account management, preferably in industrial, heavy equipment or material handling industry

* Experience with CRM tool and Microsoft Office programs -- Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

* Bachelor's degree preferred; professional experience in lieu of education will be considered

Reasoning Ability & Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply general scientific and business mathematical techniques for conveying product knowledge and pricing negotiation. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions.

 

Physical Requirements

* While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear.

* The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
