About our team:
Electrical Systems Engineering is a team that is responsible for the design of new products, options, and features. Our department leads the research of emerging technologies (Energy, Telematics, Forklift Control Systems and Interfaces) and determines feasibility for application in Raymond products. These emerging technologies parallel typical circuits and systems found in automotive and commercial products. Design and development in the Electrical Systems group is accomplished using state-of-the-art lab equipment and software working with leading partners in the industry.
About the position:
We’re looking for an Electrical Systems Engineering Co-Op. You will:
- Be treated as a self-sufficient entry-level engineer with an assigned mentor for support.
- Given the opportunity to design, analyze, and test more efficient electrical systems for various models of fork trucks.
- Be assigned projects requiring you to work with various teams within the organization in order to gain a better understanding of how the work you accomplish impacts other divisions of the business.
- Research and design experiments (example: creating testing fixture for keypads).
- Create prototype electronic circuits and/or systems.
- Design and develop prototype software for embedded micro-controllers.
- Design prototype hardware and software for circuit evaluation test equipment.
About the schedule:
This co-op will run from May 2024-August 2024 working Monday-Friday on 1st shift 8:00am-5:00pm.
About you:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Bio-Electrical, Robotics, Control Systems) or Computer Science.
- At the time of the co-op, candidate must be at a Sophomore level.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Available for May 2024-August 2024 co-op.
About the total compensation package:
Wage – Ranges from $19.50 to $24.25 per hour for undergrad students and $26.00-$28.00 for graduate students.
