About the position:

Distributes, moves, stocks, ships and/or receives a variety of parts and equipment. Resolves material workflow issues and prioritizes production line needs. Performs work under general supervision from manager, assistant team leader (ATL) or other departmental lead. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to others.

Essential Position Duties:

  • Complying with all material handling and safety requirements, operates lift trucks in order to distribute, move, ship and/or receive specified parts or equipment. Assists in prioritizing production line needs.
  • Required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company.
  • Performs a variety of routine stocking duties typically including, but not limited to, picking, marshaling, sorting, packing, stacking, loading, labeling, etc.
  • Keeps accurate records of all transactions and audits transactions to ensure overall inventory levels are accurate.
  • Resolves routine and complex material workflow problems with assigned equipment/part orders and ensures that production is not slowed due to lack of equipment/parts.
  • Interfaces with multiple departments when resolving complex problems.
  • Communicates with multiple shifts in providing information that will assist in work prioritizing.
  • Provides work direction to lower-level material attendants.
  • Follows standard work to complete tasks.
  • Supports the Company’s 5S program in an effort to maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat, organized manner.
  • Makes recommendations to change outdated or ineffective procedures through the kaizen process.
  • Supports Toyota Production Systems (TPS) driven processes and activities.
  • May be required to utilize hand and power tools.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
  • Regular attendance in the workplace is required for interaction with others and to support teamwork

About the schedule:

This position is 3rd shift   

About the work environment:

Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.

About you:

  • One or more years of warehouse and/or manufacturing experience is required

It would be great if you had:

  • A High School Diploma or GED

About the total compensation package:

Salary - Salaries starting at $19.19 per hour plus a 15% shift premium
