About the position:
The Class II Product Manager will develop strategies, programs and promotions for a specific class of products and/or services to support Raymond Solutions and Support Centers and National Accounts in the sale of Raymond products and/or services. Plans, organizes, implements and manages the activities and resources for projects and programs in support of life-cycle management of assigned class of products and/or services.
 You will:

  • Represent Raymond as the product and/or service subject-matter expert and provides technical expertise and training support for product development.
  • Achieve strategic Share of Market for assigned product lines that corresponds with Raymond’s annual Plan of Record. Own the budgeting and forecasting process for marketing, coordinating with Finance and Operations as required.
  • Establish and maintain product pricing that will optimize market share growth and profitability.
  • Gather and maintain up-to-date competitive and market intelligence. Continually assesses market conditions, competitive pricing, offerings, plans, applications, customer trends/issues, and distribution/product trends.
  • Work closely with cross functional groups (including Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Program Management, etc.) for product roadmap and life cycle management.
  • Own the strategic product planning, product roadmap, and Marketing Requirements Definition (MRD) processes. Act as an interface with engineering to develop the next generation of solutions, product enhancements and services. Ensure appropriate market coverage and brand positioning.
  • Ensure new solutions/services fulfill marketplace requirements for their successful introduction into the market as well as their long-term success and sustainability. Create programs and content to stimulate profitable sales growth.
  • Create sustainable competitive advantage for product lines. Provides effective ROI and total cost of ownership tools to Raymond Solutions and Support Centers and sales representatives that allow them to substantiate the value proposition of Raymond’s products and services offering.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to the sales force for products and applications. Develop new sales tools, dealer communications, marketing tool kits, and management of brochures, website, & app.
  • Establish and maintains product pricing that will optimize market share growth and profitability.
  • Coordinate ongoing maintenance / health of products including customer satisfaction, warranty, lead times, product margin and customization through Product Teams.
  • Understand and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures related to marketing, general business, finance/analytical and product life-cycle management.
  • Provide excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to influence and negotiate with others in order to resolve difficult problems that can affect long-term relationships with customers.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and analytical skills to understand and interpret complex data.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

About the schedule:

  • Travel required 10% - 25% of the time.
  • This position is in our Greene, NY office and will have a hybrid schedule reporting in office three days a week.

About you:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in engineering or a business-related discipline.
  • 6+ years of broad experience in marketing, finance, business, engineering, or an analytical role is required.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience working in the forklift industry or with capital goods.
  • A sense of urgency to meet or exceed customer requirements and quality expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization including senior and executive level staff is also a key to success.

About the total compensation package:
Salary - $91,000 - $117,000 per year. Compensation depends on qualifications of selected candidate.

Relocation - This position may qualifty for relocation.
